The new way of cooperation between animal lovers and the Federal Veterinary Inspection gained its strength and great significance with the recent, very successful meeting at the Federal Inspection attended by representatives of the Association “We are Part of the Solution” Alma Kovačević, president, and Mirjana Kazlagić, vice president, and PhD vet. med. Mr. Dražen Pavić, newly appointed Acting Chief Veterinary Inspector.
At the meeting, we discussed concrete ways of cooperation between the Inspectorate and our Association. Mr. Pavić and his colleagues were informed to some of the difficulties that abandoned animals are exposed to, primarily those in public shelters where living conditions are very poor, as well as those that are at risk near hunting grounds, then with the problems of owned, wild and other animals. It was emphasized that all problems should be solved for the ultimate welfare of both humans and animals. Direct cooperation of the Federal Veterinary Inspectorate with this Association was agreed at the meeting.
We assessed that Acting Chief Inspector is a real animal lover and interested in eliminating irregularities that endanger the life and health of all animals and in improving the quality and conditions of their lives. Therefore, we consider this meeting to be a major breakthrough and the beginning of a new, much more efficient cooperation between the Inspection authorities and our Association, as well as all animal lovers.
The meeting was held as a part of the Pollination project being implemented by our Association
